The Kay Pacha, Cay Pacha (Quechua), or Aka Pacha (Aimara) is the name given by the Andean culture to the material world in which humans live throughout their lives accompanied by mediating deities. This world begins at birth and ends at death and its characteristics are patience and strength. The Andean culture inherited the cosmogony of the Inca people. In this work, the artist makes an exercise of re-appropriation of this vision of the human world. In this proposal, the artist uses thread (delicacy and patience) and wood (strength) as the main materials. The artist builds four nests from which we hear four mothers singing with their young children. The songs are in ancestral languages. These songs are accompanied by an environment created from the sounds of nature. In the center of the installation, there is a wooden door intervened by the artist with dry branches and threads. A door that promises us an arrival, but also a departure. The door and the nests are located in the middle of trees that the artist reconstructed by joining dry branches and trunks that she found on the ground in parks. With thread, the artist built the sensation of the leaves.

Le Kay Pacha, Cay Pacha (Quechua), ou Aka Pacha (Aimara) est le nom donné par la culture andine au monde matériel dans lequel les humains vivent tout au long de leur vie. Ce monde commence à la naissance et se termine à la mort et ses caractéristiques sont la patience et la force. La culture andine a hérité de la cosmogonie du peuple inca. Dans cette œuvre, Camila Rodríguez Triana fait un exercice de ré-appropriation de cette vision du monde humain. Dans cette proposition, l’artiste utilise le fil (délicatesse et patience) et le bois (force) comme matériaux principaux. L’artiste construit quatre nids depuis lesquels on entend quatre mères chanter avec leurs jeunes enfants. Les chants sont dans des langues ancestrales. Ces chants sont accompagnés d’un environnement créé à partir des sons de la nature. Au centre de l’installation, il y a une porte en bois que l’artiste a fait intervenir avec des branches sèches et des fils. Une porte qui nous promet une arrivée, mais aussi un départ. La porte et les nids sont situés au milieu d’arbres que l’artiste a reconstitués en assemblant des branches sèches et des troncs qu’elle a trouvés au sol dans des parcs. Avec du fil, l’artiste a construit la sensation des feuilles.
